Portellus Moves Corporate Headquarters to Larger, State-of-the-Art Facilities in Irvine
Company to Increase Workforce by 35 Percent in 2005 Due to Increasing Demand for Its Mortgage Lending Solutions
January 24, 2005 - In a move that will accommodate its ambitious growth plans and enable centralized customer services, Portellus announced today that it has relocated its corporate headquarters to offices that are triple the size of its previous location. Company officials said the move will allow the company to expand its corporate workforce up to 100 full-time employees at this centralized location.
Portellus, a leading provider of technology tools and services to the financial services industry, consolidated its corporate and training facilities from a 5,000-square-foot space in Irvine and moved them into 17,500 square feet of state-of-the-art offices. The new facility also is in Irvine, a city with an international reputation for attracting innovative technology companies.

Portellus employees are not only working more closely, they''re doing so in facilities that include innovative amenities. For example, the new facilities include:
- Technology-enhanced training rooms that can each accommodate up to 16 users per session or as many as 100 concurrent user sessions.
- A "Customer Readiness Lab" to facilitate current and prospective clients'' technology needs.
- Planning rooms with advanced video-conferencing capabilities dedicated exclusively for extended sessions with clients either onsite or remote.
- A full cafeteria and lounge area for employees, clients and other visitors.
Portellus currently has 65 full-time employees. Le said the company plans to hire at least 24-30 more in 2005 in sales, marketing, support staff, implementation services, and research and development.
With this growth in mind, the company''s 3-year lease option allows it to absorb additional space as needed during the second year, according to Le.
